Department of Mechanical & Automation Engineering Established in 2007, aims at creating a benchmark in Mechanical and Automation Engineering. The mechanical department comprises of one of the most talented faculty among the engineering colleges and has delivered renowned professors and publications over the course of time. It has been activity involved in various projects at National and International level. The Department is equipped with wide range Hi-tech machines, tools and equipment to broaden the practical knowledge of students to handle the ever challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of Mechanical & Automation Engineering. The students and the faculty of the department also interact regularly with the industry through internships ,projects and research associations and hence keep in touch with the latest trends in industry. Lab Facilities
REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING LAB It houses a cut section model of compressors (hermitically sealed and semi- hermitically sealed) and rotator compressors. Various types of controls are available in refrigeration and air conditioning. Standard refrigeration apparatus is from KTENG, Korea. Students are trained for circuit configuration with the help of PLC. IC ENGINES LAB IC Engines are provided by KIRLOSKAR Company along with research engine test setup manufactured by APEX INNOVATION PVT. LTD. Smoke analyser or smoke meter for pollution control testing for both petrol and diesel engine. Equipped with Indigo Turbo DLS, 4-Stroke Diesel Engine with advance sensors. Performance of various engines is analysed by software provided by Lucid BIT.
ROBOTICS LAB It houses a Robotic Arm imported from Israel. Students are trained on Robotic Arm which is fully computerised consisting of 4-axes, gripper, gravity feed magazine along with a conveyer system attached with it to facilitated for lifting of objects automatically. It uses Robocell software for accessing. NOT AVAILABLE IN MOST OF THE COLLEGES.
MECHATRONICS LAB Equipments are provided by SMC, Noida. Training is given for different types of direction control valve, actuators/cylinders, compressors, sensors, relays, logic gates, solenoid valves, pilot valves etc. Various softwares such as PLC, AutoSIM are used to create virtual situation. NOT AVAILABLE IN MOST OF THE COLLEGES.
